Nope, The RJF prefix guns are late production. They have MIM hammers and triggers.
I have a list of serial numbers from 3rd gen guns being sold on Gunbroker and a breakdown of the progression of the 3rd gen guns. IE, square trigger guard to round, flash chromed to blued to MIM hammer and trigger. As far as I have been able to ascertain, there are a few AIP prefix guns, then it goes to the Txx prefix, then Vxx. After that it get confusing. I think it goes EKZ, then KHx to KMF, then MJF, followed by MSF (both TSW guns). Then PFJ and RJF.
Confused yet, wait it gets worse. We jump back to TDM, definately a late gun with the lazer etched S&W shield on the slide and MIM parts. We then go to TDN, TDP, TDR, TDS, TDT, and TDU. These date from 98 to 2000. And then S&W jumps to BAW again with late model features and follows that up with BAY, BDH, BDJ, BDK (both had 2006 fired case envelopes) and finally BDX.
Oh, and A BEM that falls in the 1999 time frame and a UCF from 98.
