Default S&W 1911 Sight Question

I recently purchased a S&W Pro Series compact 1911. It is the pistol that was produced for Lew Horton model #178052. My question is the following. Is there any reason to believe that the sight cuts on this pistol are any different than a standard model S&W 1911? I am looking to replace the sights with Heinie straight eight sights. I see on Heinie's website that they make a set for S&W 1911's, I just want to make sure they will fit my pistol before I purchase them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I added some eye candy just for the hell of it.

I know the early SW1911's used a Novak sight cut. I'm guessing they still do. Your's looks like it.

E-mail S&W tech support and ask they the size of the cut for sights. They can tell you what they are cut for. Then, you can ask the sight maker if they fit. I've done that with several different guns.

I have the same pistol in all black. I added some wrap arounds to mine and really like the feel of the grips. These pics are not mine. I never thought about the straight 8's on my Pro. SW is a different dimension than the rest of the industry for sights. I do have a straight 8's on my DW VBOB. Really like them. I would go for the straight 8's on your pro. Post pics.

I have a set of those grips as well. I love the way they fell but I had trouble concealing them because my shirt kept riding up on the leather. I bought a sweet set from Kimber with the Army crest on them. These also feel really good and conceal nicely.
