Was at LGS and came across a used 5906.Gun is in pretty good shape,2 mags 10 & 14rd,paper work,box.When I was verifing box to gun I noticed on the original sticker from SW it was imprinted ( used gun).I was wondering what does this mean? Salesmen model etc. I put a hold on it. Serial # KMF13If someone could date it also.Any insight to these questions is gratefully appreciated. Kenna

Kenna, my information is consistent with colt's. I have owned at least two with boxes marked "used". Both of mine, one revolver and one auto, also had a small, freshly stamped appearing "U" on the gun. I called S&W on these and was told, as colt said, and they also indicated that it may have been a gun used in their armorers school. I was told that the guns are up to factory specs. and they would warranty the guns if there were any issues. This was several years ago, and I don't know what S&W's current policy is toward the guns marked "used". I had no problems with the ones I owned...

Rock 185,SW states via email, that the gun was returned to SW and then resold.SW will not warranty the used weapon. I did proceed and purchase the 5906.Not in my possession yet. Thanks for your info.
