Default Model 6906

I have a S&W 6906 serial number TDS67xx, but what do the number A0152 which is stamped on the barrel, frame and slide mean? Also is it possible to get wood grips for this?

The stamped numbers mean its a police trade in. As far as the grips I'm sure someone will be on their way with the answer.

I don't know of any wood grips for the 6906, but Hogue might.

You might look at this page on Houge's site to see if there is anything you like...

Hogue 6906 wood grips. I think they look nice. Going on my list!

Harkradar, I would appreciate an opinion on the Hogue wood grips if you get a set. I'm tossing around the idea of putting a set on one of my 3rd Gens & would like to hear how they feel on the gun!

The wood Hogue stocks are quite beefy. Someone with small hands or short fingers may not like them. The width affects concealment too.

Sounds like rack numbers from a California Dept of Corrections weapon. There were tons of these on the market a few years ago.
