Tactical 4006 with rail
Have a 4006 tactical with the pin mounted rail but no info for accessories or if I would decided to remove it what options I have for filling the holes. Will also be looking into getting hand made or replacement grips just seeing what has worked for the others. Thanks in advance. Keep up the great forum.

Here's what you need in terms of accessories:

I think accessories and accessory rails are not needed for a defensive pistol. I've read where people fill the holes with epoxy. Search this forum.
Hogue grips are nice if you have longer fingers.
4006 is a great gun and is built like a tank. Good choice.

On one of my 4013TSW's I drilled out the rivets that S&W fills the holes with when they remove a rail. & then used JB Weld to fill them. It looks...OK. Keep an eye out for any posts by Forum member BMCM. The man is an artisan & currently one of his projects is a 45 TSW, I don't remember which one, but he has removed the rail & is going to fill in the holes by welding a plug into them. It will be cool, no doubt. Welcome to the Forum!

Congrats on a great gun! I just picked up a 4006 this weekend as well, I have some Hogue Pau Ferro wood grips that I ordered from Amazon lasr week for it, but I was setting up a press and doing a test run of .40 and didn't end up putting them on. As far as I am concerned, all you need for accessories is magazines, whatever grips you want to use, a holster and maybe a spare recoil spring just in case.

Congrats on purchasing a superb handgun!
Personally, I wouldn't monkey with the rail. I realize some don't like the looks, but it is what it is. These pistols were designed for LE. A pistol light is a nice tool to have on a duty gun.

Ah the rail------ If you like your rail you can keep it. If you don't, that worthless piece of **** can be easily be removed leaving 2 holes in the bottom of the dust cover. My guns my call. Your guns your call.
