Default ProMag for a 3953?

I just bought a new-to-me 3953. Great gun, thin, light and DAO
Some or most will prefer the DA/SA of the 3913 and many others but I wanted a DAO

The gun came with 2 mags but I would like to order some more
Midway has S&W SS mags for $34 and ProMags for $20

Does anybody have any experience with ProMag?
I was also going to order a couple extra recoil springs
How many rounds do you think a Wolff recoil spring would last in this little gun?

Stay with factory or Mec-Gar's....Pro-Mags are either great or horrible nothing in between in my experience.

I'm new to this forum but I would spend the money and get the S&W factory magazines and my second choice would be Mec-Gars. I only have owed two pro-mag magazines (bought them when I knew less about firearms) and both of them went to the garbage relatively quickly due to poor reliability. Magazines are a critical component to the reliability of a handgun and I would not take the chance with the pro-mag.

Falguy

When you find out that ProMag magazines are junk. They make a good target to shoot at. As others are saying factory or Mec-gar.

Sincerely

OK

ProMag is off the Midway wishlist
I’m offshore at this time and usually order 4 or 5 days before my hitch is done. The wishlist system makes it easy to get orders right under these circumstances

It looks like 2 S&W SS mags and a couple of recoil springs

ABSOLUTELY. POSITIVELY. NOT.

If its a choice between a ProMag and nothing, you're better off leaving the piece at home. This way you'll think of a better way to defend yourself versus drawing a metal paperweight on a crook.

I sold ProMag magazines at guns shows for about five years during the time of the great magazine ban. I sold hundreds of the things and never had a problem reported. I did the gun show circuit and saw the same people month after month so if someone had a problem I'm pretty sure that I would have heard about it. Unless all of my customers never used their magazines.

I have used ProMag magzines in my Browning HP with no issues.

I will never buy a Triple-K magazine again. Ever.

Pro Mag AR-15 GI magazine:Every other round would jam on the feed ramp.

Pro-Mag CZ-75 Magazine:Last spent case would get stuck on the feed ramp.

Pro-Mag Taurus PT92 magazine-No issues or problems.

With a 66% personal failure rate, I consider a Pro-Mag brand magazine a No-Go accessory.

No offense to anyone else, but friends don't let friends buy Promags. They may be alright for range use where their performance doesn't matter, but I wouldn't bet my life on one. Spend the extra $14 and get real mags. You can thank me later.

PS... Yes, I have had and used them. Lesson learned (the hard way).
