Talking Smith 10mm owners, ammo ?

I just found a nice Smith 1006.. While I am waiting for it to be shipped to my FFL, I am procurring extra mags and some ammo for it. I saw that Midway has PPU 180gr 10mm in stock. Does anyone have any experience with this particular ammo? Specifically someone with a 1006 who has shot some of it. Is it worthwhile to buy/shoot. I have never used PPU ammo before, so any help would be appreciated.

I bought some from Midway but havent shot it yet. My internet research indicates is is pretty weak stuff. It's not terrible quality, just underpowered. It'll probably work for putting holes in paper.
I think their rifle ammo is better than their pistol ammo, generally speaking.

Not particularly hot, try it then some Underwood or Buffalo Bore for contrast.

Well, I decided to try some of the PPU ammo. I bought 2 boxes from Midway. I also have some Underwood ammo on the way. They only had 165gr. in stock. I will shoot it and report back on how it goes.
