5943 update
Well went to the local gunshow today. Was thinking about trading my 5943 for a 5903 or 5906. Hah First of all you couldn't even give the 5943 away (no joke I could not even get one single offer from anyone for anything). If it's not black plastic no one is interested. Many gorgeous smiths at the show , no one buying. but Glocks they can't keep in stock, oh yeah and the high-points were flying off the counters. Guess I must be old fashioned but I like the feel and look of steel ( or even alloy) in my hand.

Ya I see it here also, High Points & Glocks sell great at the LGS but that is when a few of us go hunting the old out of date wheel guns that are used as trade.

It's the economy! (smirking) Why buy an old obsolete Smith when you can buy 2 High Points for the same price?

Welcome to the "Age of the Shooting Appliance".
**Psst***
Ill let ya in on a little secret ne reason S&W legacy guns don't draw a crowd is because the shooting industry can't make money on them after the sale. Without a sloppy trigger, wonky frame design, and plastic factory sights there's no room for serious improvement-and thus no money to make. Apex tactical would go bankrupt trying to sell trigger kits on 5906's. The M&P and Glock, on the other hand....

Isn't that the truth. All I have ever had to do to any of my 3rd Gen Smiths is clean and lube them. I've put Hogue grips on them, but I didn't need to do that to make them shoot right, I just like the feel better.

Yeah, pass on the "Combat Tupperwear" Metal, so IF you run out of ammo you can beat someone to death.
