The only objections I have ever had were the weight and the stocks. The stocks are easily changed. Other than that, it comes down to weight and it is just a big, heavy, duty-grade, stainless steel .45 Auto. It is bear to lug around unless you wear it on a duty belt, so for a range gun, if it appeals to you, that is great. No problem. To carry it on a reinforced "dress" belt, not so great.
There has been some complaining about the controls and reach of the trigger. I suppose for a person with small hands, it might be awkward. I have never noticed that and I would say my hand-size is average. It is a good gun for those who want a steel frame and double-action. I can take or leave DA, preferably leave it, so I prefer a 1911, which is already big enough and heavy enough. JMHO.
Some of the department aromorers here could tell us more about maintenance and reliability. I have never heard of the design being a parts-breaker, but common sense says the long-term supply of spares will eventually be going away, probably sooner rather than later.
