Default Custom Model 39

Here is an interesting conversion done on a Model 39-2. I just picked it up and it came in the original box, with papers and 2 mags. The main feature was the shortening of the grip frame which eliminated the lower grip screw. The lower frame has a roll pin installed to position the lower part of the grip panels. Each of the two magazines were shortened and aluminum finger rest bottoms were pinned to the magazine. Unfortunately, there are no markings as to who did the work. It is in excellent condition and shows little evidence of being fired.

Yeah I watched that on gunbroker for a couple of weeks, but didn't pop on it because I have large hands and was afraid the grip would be too short. It's a very nice looking 39-2. Hope it shoots well and congratulations. I was thinking someone on the forum had to have bought it.

Very cool. Can you describe what they did to the grips?
