I am in the process of refurbishing my 639 which includes a new dovetailed front sight. I'm ready to order the sight and cut the dovetail but seem to have misplaced the measurements I took before I milled off the original integrated front sight. Thus is the price one pays for dragging a weekend job out to almost a year! :-). Can someone with some calipers help me out? I want to know width of the blade and a height measured from whatever surface is convenient (e.g. to of slide, bottom of slide, bottom of the frame dust cover, etc). Thanks in advance!

The sight width measures .1255" the height of the sight to the top of the slide is .245". Hope that helps.
