Default Sheild's availability

I have seen a few Sheilds for sale but for the cost of a Khar PMC or Sig P290 ($600). When will the supply get better some I can buy one at MSRP?

They are out there. You just have to keep contacting dealers. Sometimes you call at just the right time. That is how I got my 40, back in May. I called six dealers, and the last one said he was getting a couple in a few days. I gave him my CC number over the phone and two days later I had my Shield. I paid $400 and was happy for the price break. I've seen some have paid in the lower $300's. I don't know how a LGS could stay in business at those prices. Must make their money on gunsmithing.

You should spread the word to your friends to not buy from those dealers that are ripping the general public off. Those dealers are not paying extra for the Shields, from their distributors. They just want to make a killing on the "hot" gun. A new gun shop in Sarasota, Florida called "High Noon Guns" is a rip off dealer regarding pricing. They have Shields at the price of $579.00. Now that is a rip off and I am spreading the word. I would think they may not be around very long, with those type of prices. The average guy won't buy at those prices. We know some guy with lots of money will buy them, but in the long run the LGS's depend on the average guy for their long term business.

I was lucky and purchased my (2) .40s and (1) 9mm for $ 399.00 each. I let my friend shoot the 9mm and two days later he bought one for $ 575.00 plus $ 25.00 shipping and $ 25.00 to the FFL. A couple of days later he and I went to my LGS and showed him what he could buy for what he paid for the Shield. He looked at me and says, maybe I could sell it for what I paid for it and get something else. Right!

Cool

I just picked up my 9mm Shield on Friday at a LGS in MASS for $409...

The thing has the MA 10.5 lb trigger ( it's not that bad) and I just ordered a APEX kit to get it down to a better poundage...

I put 3 to 4 hundred rounds through it Saturday without one hick-up, it ran great...

Try Bob's army navy in clearfield Penn. I just ordered a 9mm and think they might have a few 40's left. I believe the 9 I ordered was the last one they had in stock at this time. They were great to deal with. Good luck with the hunt!
