Went shooting today.
I had a lot of fail to feed the 2an rd, happened several times with each of 4 different mags. It did not do it every time but enough to be irratating.
I have done a good cleaning, will try again.

Any thoughts?

If it is new then perhaps load the mags and leave in the safe for a week or two and see if that helps. Sometimes new mags are stiff and push too hard on the first couple of rounds. Worth a try.

Mine tended to do that with Federal ammo but not with Blazer so it may be the ammo. I have learned that RN feeds fine but HP don't

my 22a doesnt like ammo that is overly waxy,from lube or whatever is on them??? cheap federal bulk ammo is fine but some ammo it just dont like.

My 22A has fed every type of ammo i have used in it so far, hp, round nose, 36 gr, 40 gr just whatever. I am reasonably certain that I am nearing 10,000 rounds through it now. You must have some specific malfunction. I would suggest you do a complete teardown and look for a bent or broken part. Or take it to a good gunsmith.

Call S&W for a warranty shipping tag and send it in to them. They aren't fast, and it may take a couple of trips back to the factory to get it sorted out, but they will try to make it right. I had a problem with my first 22A that they could not repair, and they replaced the gun with a new one after the third trip back to the factory (different jamming problem). It seems that, with the 22A, you either get a really good one (probably the majority) or a real lemon.
