I ran them on my CQBs....I have large 3X hands and in my opinion was the best grip of the factory grips with the addition of grip tape.

While rubber hogues offered tackiness, I could cause a misfire with a tight grip as the grip would contact the hammer strut. I had to clearance hogues to rule out any possibility of a misfire.

I sold both my CQBs and my Palm Swells are gone too.

with that said, to the untrained eye....they are just regular grips. start searching in junk piles at gun shows or if someone is selling a gun and they sport palm swells and the gun is not a frame decocker model, offer to buy the grips or have a new set of regulars ready to trade them.

good luck...you are one of many that is looking

I just purchased a 4506 also. I bought Pachmayr Slip-On #3 w/Finger Grooves and love them. They fit perfectly, are sticky rubber, and expand the grip circumference a bit for my big hands. I got them on eBay for $10 delivered.

Grab a pair if you can find them. I don't think S&W is making the FBI grips any longer.
