Default The M&P45C

Having a couple of M&P's already (40 and 40C) but preferring .45acp overall, I decided to pickup an M&P45C, along with some 10-rnd mags as well.

Great pistol. Stone reliable. The maiden voyage to the range was simply to blast through a lot of rounds to test reliability and see how it performed when fired rapidly. I was reasonably impressed with it, considering the lousy 6.5-7 lb. trigger.

I'm planning to install an Apex sear and striker block in hopes of improving the horrible trigger. And it would definitely benefit from some aggressive stippling. I may need to learn how to do that!

Overall, though, I think it's a great pistol. One of the very best polymer platforms for the magnificent .45acp caliber.

Firing at 15 yards, rapid fire for the most part. A far cry from my 1911 targets, but then again... that can be a tough comparison.

The M&P45c is one of those pistols that to many, including myself has that just right feel to it. I've found them to be rock solid reliable and accurate enough to inspire confidence. The 45c and 9c are my favorite M&Ps.

There is a forum member here who does stippling. I believe he has
a site under the name Damato Custom Stippling. Check him out, as
he does excellent work & at reasonable prices. He did a back strap
for my 40C that I really like. He has a variety of patterns.

Love my 45C - see no reason to monkey with the trigger. What's that lever on the side of yours?
