Holster fit round trigger in a square trigger holster
I have been on the search for a no dash 4506 without luck so far. I am working on a -1 complete package but I am curious about how well it will fit in my old holsters. I have a Kramer IWB horsehide and a Galco Miami Classic both for a square guard.
Thoughts?

I am sure that if there was a difference, between holsters for round and square trigger guards, the holster manufacturers would have made a distinction in their catalogs. Since I have never seen notes of any distinction I must assume that a holster for the 4506 would fit either gun. But, as I said, this is an opinion not a fact.

FWIW, I have a nice black leather duty rig marked AE Nelson Leather Co. for a 5906. It was pretty hard getting Dad's square trigger gun to fit. I'm guessing the holster prefers a round trigger guard.

I would think a round trigger guard would fit fine in a square guard holster but not the other way around. Jeff

My 5903 with round trigger guard fits fine into a holster made for a square trigger guard, as does my 3953.

Well it was not exactly what I have been looking for but I did manage to snag a great nearly new 4506-1. I tried the fit when I got it home and in the Kramer it was really tight. I think this is due to the precise molding of the holster and the fuller frame profile of the -1. It fit just fine in the Galco.
Range trip and pics to come.
