Default New to me 4563TSW

Just picked up a 4563TSW sold to me as like new in a box. And it is nice, no marks on the metal or grip. Seems to have been shot very little. Shot this 4563TSW yesterday along with it's big brother 4506. Both shot an inch below point of aim and grouped about the same. Any of you 3rd generation adicts have a 4563TSW to share thoughts? Should we use oil or grease on the slide?

Mine did the same thing. I ordered the shorter front sight from a 4013 and replaced it, and is right on money now.

Congrats on a great 45. The 4563 is probably my favorite.

Picked up a 4563 a couple of years ago to join my 6906. I love it. Shoot it much better than the 6906, tend to pull the smaller pistol more. I've got Hogue grips on both of mine and love them.

I Use a good lithium grease on the slide rails and camming surfaces of all my 3rd Gens. This is especially important with alloy lowers wearing against stainless. I prefer good old Lubriplate 130A which was the spec'd lube for M1 & M14 rifles back in the day. It's a top quality grease that I use on all my gas guns and semi-auto pistols and you can get a pound of it for about the same cost of one of those little syringes of magic snake-oil.

Cheers
Bill
