i have a S&W model #99-2 serial A481819 in 9 mil
would like to know when it was made and what value it is
it has a stainless slide

Hello and Welcome to the forum,
You will have to post some pic's, and give us some more information. I'm not aware of a Model 99-2. The serial# you provided dates to a pistol shipped in 1978-1979.

I also have a 9mm S&W Model 99-2 S/N: A587XXX. I can find nothing on this model anywhere.

These 99's were a collaboration with Walther. The frames were produced in Germany and the slides and barrel were made in the US. Listed on page 327 and 328 of the SCSW.
