Default S&W M&P22 OR Ruger SR22

My wife wants to target practice with a 22 pistol. Was wondering if anyone here has experience with BOTH pistols. I have a buddy who has a Ruger SR22 and is very happy with it. I Have shot it and it is very nice. Ruger is a lighter, smaller and slightly cheaper. I have several S&W Pistols and lean more that way.
Anybody have experience with both.
Again Its just a "fun practice gun" nothing more.

I love my SR22, eats anything (after break in, for me it was about 100 rounds) very reliable, easy maint, super accurate, had a Walther P22 very similar but the Ruger outclasses it IMHO. My wife loves shooting it BTW. When she goes to the range with me, Its her go to

I've been after a M&P 22. I've had money down on one since the beginning of February. They are very hard to come by in these parts, I'm told it should be available in late April. From what I've read and watched on youtube, the M&P is the one to get. There is a comparative vid on youtube with the SR22 and M&P 22. Good luck with whichever you pick.

I have both and to be honest I like the Ruger more. The M&P is pickier about ammo, costs more and only comes with 1 magazine. The Ruger has better sights, and if your wife has small hands, she would probably think the SR22 feels better.
