410/411 slide on 910/915 Frame?

Does anyone know if a 410 (.40 cal) slide will fit the 915 (9mm) frame? I have the 915 and have a chance to get a 410 slide and barrel. If it will fit I though it would be a good dual caliber option with a slide and mag swap. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There was a design change between the 915/411 and 910/410 guns so it's doubtful. Not sure on the 910/410 series but on the earlier guns the mags did not interchange between the 9 and 40.

4506 and 1006 frames and magazines are also made so that you cannot insert the wrong caliber magazine in a frame. I don't know but I bet a nickel S&W does the same with all .40s & 9mms.

I'd just keep an eye out for the next batch of police surplus .40 3rd generation pistols to go on the market. The last PD surplus I bought, a 4046, was $299 OTD. It was scuffed up but ran fine. Even if a 410 slide and magazines fit, building your own convertible you're betting good money that it won't turn out to be a jam-a-matic.
