hey guys this is my first post on here so any help is really appreciated. i recently purchased a smith and wesson 469 as my first handgun and seeing if someone with a book can give me a date of birth. the serial number is tbu6055 thanks in advance

thanks and ya ill get some pics on here soon ive been trying to find info on it for a while but it has dual safety (one on each side of the slide) and i cant find any similar setups online. also where the s&w logo is stamped on the frame about is a half inch away from what ive seen and this one has a one piece grip instead of the normal two piece so its slightly different from basically anything i can find but overall looks like any other 469

Welcome to the forum justinw. Reference the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson 3rd Edition. It appears to be production date of 1988.
