Model 41 dash number

Is there a dash number on the model 41, If so where is it located??

I have 3 Years 1979, 1982 and 1985

s/n A579xxx, A758xxx and TAD6xxx

The 41-1 is the designation for the 41s shipped as .22 short. This includes a different bbl, slide, mag, spring, and slide stop/ejector. There were .22 short kits sold with the noted parts that could be used on regular S&W 41s and 46s. The last 41-1s were shipped in the A300000 range.
 
No, other than the 41–1 Tom mentioned. Engineering changes on the Model 41 were not given dashes as they were with most other models. Your three should be pretty much the same since they are close to the same vintage. The major changes occurred around 1978 when the 7 3/8" barrel and cocking indicator were dropped.
 
The purpose of adding an engineering revision to a model number was to indicate that the parts required for repair are different and non-interchangeable with other engineering revisions.

With the exception of the factory shipped 22 short pistol, that has not yet occurred with the model 41
