Walther PPS slide lock problem
This morning I disassembled my PPS for cleaning but could not put it back together.
It looks like the slide is hitting the slide lock because the slide lock is not going down far enough. I can force it but the slide just does not slide right.
Any ideas of what to try next.
Thanks.

I managed to fix it myself. The spring holding the slide stop was dislodged and went underneath the slide stop preventing. I put it back in place using a tiny screwdriver.

I couldn't offer any advice but I'm glad it worked out. By the way, welcome to the forum.

Happened with mine: the slide lock spring was broken. S&Walther sent a new one on request and I replaced it (it was more of a PITA than I would have thought). Search on the Walther Forum for info.

Yes mine too. It probably needs to have the slide stop updated to the newer version. S&W did mine for free at the time, but they are no longer dealing with the Walther guns. So you have to deal with Walther directly, and they are having so issues setting up their US operations. Good luck, it is a great gun and worth having updated. Ed

Here is a link to a 46 page discussion on the PPS side stop. Check your slide stop - WaltherForums
