Default Model 41-1 in .22 Long Rifle?

Was the Model 41-1 chambered only for .22 Short? Would a 41-1 frame ever have left the factory with a 7-3/8" .22 Long Rifle barrel?

Thank you!

D.

all the Model 41's that I have seen have been .22 LR. There may have been some .22 shorts but the majority are .22 long rifle.

The reason I'm asking is that I found a Model 41-1 for sale. I was expecting it to be a .22 Short but the barrel is labeled .22 Long Rifle. The frame is marked Model 41-1 and the slide and barrel appear to be factory stamped with the frame serial number.

According to the information I can find, the 41-1 was chambered only for .22 Short so how could this combination occur?

Either that or it had the other barrel added to the kit at a later date. I would enquire to see how many barrels come with this particular gun.

Default 41-1

I recently Purchased a 41-1 on GB , that came with the oringal box, and also came with a 22LR conversion, and magazines.
The Gun was stamped 41-1, not many bidders on it, I was surprised to get it so cheap.
This 41-1 that is on GB, is in fact a true 41-1, and What ever happened to the 22 Short package is unknown. I feel without the 22 short items, his price is way out of line. IMOP, Just reading all of what he say's, the thing that sticks best, is the Roll of the dice.
