Can anyone find the S&W parts lists and schematics on their website. Seems like they've disappeared.

A forum member had this site on a year or so ago and I found the S&W papers and parts list here: ---.gunknowledge.com I hope this helps, it was there about 10 minutes ago. Jeff

Dagnabit though, they don't list a 4040.

Smith removed their parts lists about 3 months ago. I haven't seen schematics listed on their site in a couple of years.

The manual for any TDA 3rd generation will cover the 4040 as far as function, cleaning, field stripping. Are you looking for specific part numbers?

Thanks Gary. It was more curiosity than anything else. Got a 4040 and wanted to bookmark the parts explosion and price list for reference. I know in the past I've had no problem on the S&W site. I don't think the removal of this info bodes well for us.

At one time after they took the parts lists off the web site, you could find the parts lists for sale for a nominal charge on the S&W site in both CD and paper format. I looked just now, and the search feature on the S&W site is down, so I do not know for sure if they still offer the parts lists, even for sale.

Could try this link to Numrich Gun Parts. They list many different firearms.
