I know one of our Members has one of these and I love the look of it. I had a 5903 SSV at one time and seem to really like that configuration. Does anyone else use a Full Grip frame with Shorter Barrel/Slide assembly? If you do, I'd love to see them.....Thanks....Zebulon

Dear me, a Frankengun!

So, was it as simple as a 6906 slide/barrel on a 5906 frame, or was gunsmithing involved?

This might not be exactly what you're looking for, but a good friend of mine (down here) has a 669 and I have a 3904. One night, before my 3904 got "customized" a bit more with a nice new finish on the frame we were parts switching just for fun. I believe we've fired the guns like this and they worked, although it would have been quite a while ago if we actually did it rather than just playing around with them in this configuration.

The 3904 -- which gets out more than you might imagine -- as it appears now:

Simple as that - no gunsmithing involved. A 6906 barrel and slide usually just goes right on without any fitting.

On mine above, I also swapped out the 5906 hammer and slide stop with one from a 6906.
