Default 4013-1013

I am ready! Just picked up a 4013 single stack with 7 mags and I am ready to convert it to 10mm. For outside help, I need the barrel cut to 10mm. I can convert the mags. The frame has some handling marks and I am considering a duracoat finish. Comments? How do you keep the pin holes open? The frame to barrel connection on this pistol is perfect, the best I have seen on an alloy frame Smith.

Sorry,
My projects on these conversions have been put on hold for some time now.
All the information that you will need is in the forums, you can just do a search.

Default 4053 and 10mm

Recently completed a similar project with a 4053. Acquired a separate 4053 slide and barrel, so I can switch back and forth from 40s&w to 10mm. Have had trouble finding the 8 round magazines though.
Wondering where to start with the recoil spring tension on the 10mm bbl/slide. It has the double spring configuration so I was thinking about trying the original OEM inner spring and a 17 lb outer spring. Anyone have an opinion about recoil spring options, and whether or not the configuration I've listed will be adequate for the 10mm? I will not be shooting hot loads. Thanks

Use a 23# spring from the single spring setup for the 4516 as the outer spring and the factory inner;
Wolff p/n # 47723 - S&W 4516-1/4013, RP RECOIL SPRING 23LB

I've done quite a few conversions over the years as many of you know, just not lately.

Best regards,
BM1

Per the advise of BM1 I ordered a 23lb spring and three extra power mag springs for my project. Also ordered a 10mm chamber reamer from Brownells for the chamber work. Wish me luck! Also ordered a spare barrel. If all goes well I plan to do a trigger job and reshape the frame.
