I looked at the Keep Shooting web site and it appears that these magazines are their own brand. I guess for the range they would OK if they work, but for defense, I would stick with factory or Meg-Gar.
With over 50 years of shooting and firearms ownership, I never found aftermarket (except Meg-Gar) magazines to be worthwhile to stake my life on.

Smith & Wesson 59 Series 9mm 15rd Blue Mag New Mec-Gar

Edit: Now that I look Greg Cote has blued for 22.95 and plated for 23.95. So many choices.
SMITH&WESSON : Greg Cote, LLC

I would carry a Mec-Gar magazine without worrying about it.

I have no idea what Keep Shooting is selling.

Know this though:
Mec-Gar 5900-series mags are 0.005" FATTER than Smith and Wesson brand mags.

The Mec-Gar's feed great.
But, if you start having problems with your 5900-series gun not acting right (in the form of the pulling the trigger failing to cause the hammer to fall), you might want to switch to real S&W mags to see if that changes the problem. I was ready to pull my hair out over this with my 659. I ended up sending it to Smith and Wesson (at my expense), where they correctly diagnosed the problem as the Mec-Gar mags dragging on the trigger transfer bar. That's a lot of money to spend to be admonished for using "aftermarket" magazines.

See Model 659 - trigger not picking up hammer when returned to fire postion after de-cock

Polishing the inisides of the trigger transfer bar, made that gun more Mec-Gar friendly, but I still don't trust the Mec-Gar's in that gun. How much fouling would it take for the problem to re-appear? Its still a precariously tight fit with the Mec-Gars.

I ordered one of the 5900 series mags from Keep Shooting and it didn't work in my old Model 59. Other types have worked great. If it works PM me and I'll make you a deal on a brand new one.

I know this thread is a little old but thought I'd post a recent experience. I ordered four mags from them due to lack of available factory S&W mags. I loaded five rounds in two of the new mags. Shot one mag in a 459 and the other in a 5903. Both mags didn't hold slide open after last shot. I loaded a couple more rounds in each of the first two mags and switched guns. The same exact thing happened again. I took a caliper and did some measuring. The new mags were about .080 narrower in width at the follower catch opening compared to factory S&W mags. The followers were also loose in the mag and could tilt around. I have a handfull of blued and stainless factory S&W mags and have never had a problem with any of those mags in any of my guns. I didn't even try the other two new mags. I packaged the new mags up and returned them. I recieved a refund that was $5.00 short of a full refund. I had ordered mags for a Kel-tec from them a few years ago and had problems with those mags and had to return them. They may be a fine company with mags that work well in other applications but for me nada. I have made a mental note to never buy mags from them ever again.

any update on the Keep Shooting magazines? My mom and me just bought a 5904. After the review from tasthree I don't think I want to go with magazines from this company but I wanted to see more then one review. I certainly don't want to waste my money on something that won't work properly.

9mm S&W 15rd Mags - Used #MAGSW5906
9mm S&W 15rd Mags - Used $14.99 I bought 5 of these, they appear to be used Law Enforcement, springs are well used but still work.
I put a link to Wolf Springs. $7.49 a spring bringing price up around $23.
I recommend buying as many used 5906 mags as you can, I bought 4 new factory mags from Midway USA $33.99 plus shipping and the stainless steel used on the new mags is not very smooth and I have had problems with the follower not sliding inside mag. I had some problem with them at the range also.
The used mags are original S&W factory and have nice smooth Stainless steel.

Yes. They will stick out though but there is an adapter to fill the gap.

I purchsed one from them for my Model 59 and it didn't fit. However I sold it to someone that had a 5906 and a KelTec P-11 and it they said it worked just fine for them in both guns.

I just got 6 for a total of just under $103. Baseplates are worn almost unrecognizable but the mags are great. Lots of "duty belt" time for these cartridge boxes. Joe

I bought (4) 15 round 9mm 5906 mags from Centerfire systems. Added a small fee for using CC. 9.99 S&H for a total of $72.05 They are clean & like new externally, a bit of dirt on the orange followers. These will back up my 6956 mags. Good deal & quick safe shipping.

Default I hope it works out....

I'd buy the replacement if I had to, but I lucked up and found an original S&W mag.
