Lightbulb Stainless Steel.

It seems like every gun I've looked at has little tool marks or some kind of blemish on the barrel, slide, cyledar or frame.

My Personal Recent Past.
My bran new SW E Series 1911. It had some minor imperfections to the slides finish. And a scratch on the safty spring housing.

I used some 2000 grit sand paper and carefully buffed out the areas. Then I used some Flitz to polishes it up. The spring housing was blued but now it is like a mirror finish.
The slide is also very shiny now with no visible scratches.
I'm tempted to sand down the both sides of the slide and frame to get the same effect.

I got out my SS Prara P14 out of the safe, it had some holster marks on the slide and this method worked very well too.

I used some Flitz (no sand paper!) on my SS 686+ revolver, specifically the front of the cylinder to get rid of the powder burn marks.
I'm running low on Flitz and the only place that I've seen Flitz for sale were gun shows. Any way, I'll keep looking around for some.
Just wanted to let you know how to bring that new gun (or better) look back to your collection of SS arms.

Edit note: found some Flitz on amazon
