Default CS9 or CS45

I'd like to get either a CS9 or CS45 as a concealed carry gun. I would like to know the difference in weight impacts ease of carry and whether or not the 45 recoil significantly affects getting a second shot off quickly(I'm used to shooting a commander size 45 acp and have no trouble getting a quick second shot off accurately). Thanks

I can't speak to the CS 45, but I regularly carry a CS9 in the pocket if I wear cargo pants. Otherwise, it goes in as IWB holster. It is as easy for me to conceal as a 642 and the hit probability at 7 yards is much, much easier with the semi than the revolver, from first shot to last.
I recently got a chance to shoot a 457 - a tad larger than a CS 45 - and it conceals and shoots about like my Colt Combat Commander. A little easier to carry because of the lighter weight, a little harder to shoot fast for the same reason.

Why settle for less?
CS45.
You'll never have to wonder "if"...
And "yes" I got one!

Ok...now I have a real dilemma. I've found a CS40 and a CS45 for sale at about the same price. I've heard the CS40 has more felt recoil than the CS45. does anyone have any experience with both?

I have CS 9, 40 and 45. For me the 9 is the most comfortable to carry whether pocket (rare), IWB or OWB, all oweing to its much lighter weight than the 40 or 45. As to shooting characteristics, the 40 is "snappy" indeed as many have stated with considerable notable muzzle flip. Not painful to shoot, just a characteristic a potential buyer should know of. The 45 is IMO a pretty soft shooter given its compact size. Have never felt there was a significant delay or lag getting back on target for second shot compared to other 45's. I really enjoy shooting the 45 but much prefer carrying the lighter 9. Don't have exact weights handy but if my memory is correct there is not a great deal of difference in loaded weight between the 40 and 45. My wife doesn't carry but likes shooting the 40 best of the 3 and is also most accurate with the 40.

Heading out right now but will post again this pm if possible on loaded and unloaded measured weights of all 3 guns.

Good luck in your quest, any of the CS's would be a good purchase but certainly some big differences to consider.

OK, here's my weights, electronic medical grade scale, to 1/10 (0.1) ounce. First weight is empty, mag removed. Second weight is with full mag and in parentheses the number of rounds. Ammo is hollow point for all.
-CS9, std Hogue grips=20.8//25.5 (7 rnds)
-CS9, BigDog grips= 20.7// 25.4 (7 rnds)
-CS40, std Hogue grips= 24.4// 30.7 (6 rnds)
-CS45, std Hogue grips= 24.5// 31.1 (6 rnds)

For what its worth, and because I believe someone may have mentioned it, I also have a 457. It is 25.7// 32.8 (7 rnds).

Yeah, I'm a little anal about a few things, haha.
