Default model 52-1 barrel bushing spacer

I am a new member to the Forum, have purchase a Model 52-1 and it is great. I believe the spacer under the barrel bushing needs to be replaced. It flexes and the end of the recoil spring can be observe. Can any one tell me if this is an issue and where do I find this part? Thanks, Bob35

I think I know what you are talking about, its called the barrel bushing plate. Don't think it would be a problem, the bushing really keeps the barrel and the slide in the proper alignment. Does make me think that gun has been shot a lot, can't imagine what else would make it bend. Not sure where you would find one, just have to do a lot of searching.

Take the plate off and lay it on a flat steel surface and have another piece of steel on top and tap it back flat.
If that does not work, but it should, I think I have a couple used ones in my pile of stuff.
