Shield love
I'm new to forum. Have had glocks (19,20,21) for years. I'm ex LE. Spent last few wks looking for smaller back up to my Glock 19. Tried MANY small revolvers, semi autos. ONLY liked 1, the Shield. Wow....GREAT gun. No kick, easy to grip, very accurate. Found a new backup to my primary carry. Feel like I'm cheating on my Glock but it will understand as they will hang out often !

I carry the shield as my primary, backed up by a S&W Bodyguard 380. Love it! For those times when I feel a little more firepower makes me comfortable, I swap it for my Gen 4 Glock 23!

I tried the Bodyguard but it was too small for me and I didn't like the trigger pull. Still can't believe how great the Shield is.

Welcome to SW Forum.
Soon the Glock will be in the safe or sold......
The Shield is a very nice Stricker fired polymer gun. My son had the Walther PPS which is very similar and one of my favorite striker polymer guns.
Yet, if you ever get your hands on a nice S&W 3913 or 4013/4014 you'll really be in trouble. My EDC is the 4014. Alloy frame, compact single stack all black .40 S&W; DA/SA with a hammer and de-cocker.
Just bought my wife a Shield in 9mm. Local place was selling them for $350 NIB and she wanted something smaller for CCW.

I know the exact same feeling. The xd 9 compact, xd 45, and fn fiveseven are jealous now. The fiveseven just has company now when we go out. I always liked threes company.

OK, I'll admit it.
Got the shield 9mm for the better half, but my M49 is in the shop.
So, I CC the shield and she still has the Kel-Tec PT3......

Surprised you didn't get a Glock 26 for your bug. The mags from your g19 would work in it, giving you versatility.
