Production years of the 469

Anyone know the production years & number of the model 469 produced, Just purchased a Mint 469 ,this is the 1st one I have ever seen here in my area Toledo Ohio. Thanks

I think production of the 469 started around 1984. I have a G&A magazine from February 1984 and it has the 469 on the cover.

The SCSW says the 469s were produced from 1983 to 1988.

The Model 469 was developed from the Devel modified pistol. The first eleven guns were completed in 1982 (serial numbers starting at A796,437) and were used for test and evaluation samples. Full production began in August of 1983 with serial number A840,000.The Model 469 was discontinued in April of 1989 when it was replaced with the Model 6904. Total production was 97,261 pistols.

So my pistol was produced in late 83 or early 84 with SN A856XXX, Will this pistol appeal to collectors I may be incorrect but total # produced really is not that much, to me other than the Blued Finish & Square trigger guard it looks very much like 6906, Thank You for all the great info.
