Nill Grips for Model 41
Hi all:
I'm looking to get a grip that is a little smaller in diameter than the standard Model 41 grip, and like what i've heard and seen about the quality of the Nill grips. In particular, I'm looking at the Nill replacement grips, either with thumb rest or without, NOT the adjustable match grips. Does anyone have any experience with these and can tell me how they compare in size to the standard grips?
Thanks very much.

IIRC the Nill grips I had on one 41 were fairly large in circumference, like Hogue. The older, oil finished, factory grips are smaller than the current ones and are probably my favorite. The Herrett 1911 grips are, well, the size of a 1911 so that might also be an option.

+1 on the Herrett 1911 trainer grips... and since I also shoot a Colt Gold Cup, I can also say they do work as intended by providing a hold and feeling that's almost (if not actual) identical to a 1911 to train with.

Thanks guys, that's very helpful. I've also heard someone sells a S&W or aftermarket piece that attaches to the frame and allows actual 1911 grips to be installed, but that's a little more expensive option.

Sile also makes some pretty nice grips for the 41.

I have a set of Herretts trainers just like in Gunhackers' pics "as new in the box" that I may entertain selling.....
