Default Bodyguard 380 with Crimson Trace upgrade.

I bought a S&W BG 380 with the Insight laser a while back. The first time at the range the laser died. Sent the laser back to S&W and after about 2 months received a new CT replacement kit. I was starting to get annoyed at the long wait but this surprise was well worth the wait! Had to do a little filing before it would drop in but that was no big deal. You can see in one of my pics the area that needed filed. This CT unit is so much better than the ****** IS unit. The laser seems so much brighter also. Even came with new red buttons. They may sell this as a replacement too if any of you want it. The product code is 3002074.

What type of screw holds the laser in? Is it an Allen Head screw? If so, what size wrench does it use? I striped out the head on my Insight Laser screw. When I got it back from S&W, they had replaced the screw with the larger Allen Head. Instead of the .035 wrench size, I now have the .050. Does not sound like much of a difference, but the larger wrench fits tighter than the old one ever did.

In addition, the buttons are easier to use. I used to need a finger on each side to trigger the laser. Pushing with one finger would not work. Now I can activate the laser with my trigger finger.

Just got mine replaced with Crimson trace too! Sent in insight, received Crimson Trace upgrade kit in 10 days! Laser is brighter and buttons have feel of detent not squish. Love the .050 allen on both the install screw (included) and the adjustment screws as well. Can't wait to shoot it!
