Default PPKS 2003 YEAR NOT FIRING

I been running into some light primer hits give or take 3 rounds out of a box of 50 rounds will fail to fire.I will not carry it until I can correct the problem.
I was at the range to day and now it seems the hammer will not even hit the firing pin.I did remove and change the hammer spring but it still will not function correctly .I did notice the hammer is not going far enough forward stops about 1/16" I can push the hammer forward and with the magazine remove it will move the firing pin forward.I do see a small gap between the hammer spring strut and the base of the hammer .I wonder if the strut is my problem.??
Any idea were to inspection to correct the problem

Not that it has anything to do with your issue but has your pistol been serviced under the recall? If not, that would certainly be a way to have it checked out at the factory for free.

Light primer strikes would usually indicate a dirty firing pin channel.

question any one know if the S@W PPK/S has a safety feature like Magazine dis-connect .I did replace to hammer spring to the factory spec: loaded a dummy round (Primer only) the gun fired no problem I did notice with out the mag: installed the hammer will not hit the firing pin .

I double check the gun this evening yep it stop working.I then went ahead to see if I could see the problem why the hammer will not hit the firing pin ,played with a while came with a big O .I decided maybe just to send the gun back to S@W under the recall which it has never been back for .I think it is something simple but the PPK/S has too many parts,I wonder I don't think from what I see the hammer does not make contact with the firing pin maybe somewhere is a weak spring I don't know for sure, funny I went to place the gun in the safe and tried the pencil again down the bore you got it it shot the pencile up in the air.any one have any idea were to look to correct the problem?
