Default "Cousins of Steel", 4506, 4566, 4516

I had a little time this morning so I decided to do a family photo of my 3rd Gen .45s. These three guns truly are "cousins" as they are nearly identical except for the length of the barrels and mag capacity. At top is a no dash model 4506 that features the earlier "square" trigger guard and a 5 inch barrel. The 4566 shown at lower right has a barrel length of 4.25 inches. At lower left is the 4516-2 with a 7 round mag capacity and a barrel length of 3.75 inches. My favorite is the 4506. Even in my hands it is amazingly accurate and reliable. If you don't own a 3rd Gen .45 you should strongly consider getting one. I feel really fortunate to have three.

I strongly agree! I have a similar collection of 45's myself: 4566TSW, 4506-1, 4516-1, & my pride & joy, a 4513TSW pre-rail. I never thought I would get into shooting 45ACP as much as I do; I sure enjoy it!

those are some fine examples...look factory fresh....45acp has become my favorite flavor to shoot.....I still want to add a 4513 pre rail to my modest collection of .45's....and then a 1911.....just because.................

Very nice family you have there!

This is pretty much my favorite subject followed by K and J snubs.

Nice collection. Shortly after purchasing it, my 4506 supplanted my 3913 as my favorite 3rd Gen. Hoping to get it a 4566 cousin in the future.
