Default Rough Trigger Guard

Has anyone lightly sanded down the underpart of the trigger guard that seems to be a little rough on the top of the middle finger or is it intended to be that way?

I used a Dremal rotary on both of my Shields in that area. This seems to be a common problem with these polymer frames. Some
folks have gone to the hardware store and purchased fine sand paper and used that.
Afterwards the sanded area had a sort of gray color instead of the black. I used a black marking pen__looks good and feels better.
G'luck

Think I am going to do that or actually fill in the stipple with a little polymer. Almost like smoothing imperfections on sheet-rock.
