Default My Favorite S&W Pistol

Will I ever find another one?

Along time ago I bought a S&W 39 from a LEO for a really great price. It felt like it was made for My hand.

Then along comes a scum bag, who broke in to the house and stole My favorite S&W.

About a month later, they made a bust at a house of drugs, and found My pistol. Of course they had to impound it as evidence. Well along comes the insurance company and gives Me $1200 for My pistol (the only thing that was taken).

Now after a lot of years its time to find another S&W 39 so I can fill the Box that I have kept for the last 40 years, and that it fits My hand like I remember. Last year I picked up a 39-2, it doesn't feel the same as I remember, so its time to too find another one to go in the box dummy didn't take.

Please turn Me on to any leads, on a S&W 39 steel frame, You might run across.

Thank You;

Al

I believe the frames are pretty identical (I could be wrong as I have the -2 models). I wish you luck on finding what you're in search for.

I will add that model 39s are the best feeling/looking semi-auto smith and wesson has ever produced.

That steel frame you lost was probably one of not many made. Big difference from the 39-2 alloy frame .
Hope you find another but a 539 might duplicate the feel but will not replace it.
I feel your pain. The box has value, at least you still have that.
