Default 5905- rare/desirable or rare/no big deal?

I found a 5905. I don't need another 9mm, but like the fact this is a very low production run pistol. No box and no docs, but just a few magazines. From pics, it looks to be in good shape. Price seems reasonable with extra accessories the seller is throwing in.

So, is this rare/desirable or rare/no big deal?

If it's a configuration you like, I would go for it. It's a little cool to have something you don't see everyday. Hope we see some pics if you do buy it!

They are rare with only 484 made, but they don't seem to drive collector prices. That being said, I would jump on it, they certainly do not come up for sale very often.

I'd buy it.

How many times have any of us said, "Man I wish I bought that back before they became collector items!" At only 484 made, this one has the potential to be one of those. Think of it this way, you just might be ahead of the curve on this one.

Besides, it's not like you're getting "stuck" with a bad gun if it doesn't become a collector item. You get a great gun that's a good buy now, and in the future you'll still have a great gun that might have been a fantastic buy. I don't see much of a downside to buying it.

I'd say pass. IMHO small niche for collectors. If you are looking for a "now" collector, there's plenty out there. If you want to pick it up for a shooter/carry, and the price is too good to pass up then its your call...No big deal...

No box and no docs is gonna bite any collector value hard. I'd agree with Vinny - if it's something you want to shoot, at a right price, go for it.

I still kick myself for passing on a very nice 5905 a year or so ago.

Appreciate the comments. Unfortunately, the price is not right, vs. what other 59XXs are going for today as well as what I have in my collection.

Don't think I've ever seen a 5905. What is the difference in a 5905 vs a 5904?

I'd love to have one to go along with my 5906. If the price were right I would have to bite. But it would be a shooter, not a safe queen.
