Model 41 Magazines
Having a 1978 vintage Model 41 with only 1 original magazine, I would like to pick up a spare or two. It appears the currently available S&W magazines will fit nearly every 22 semi auto they ever made. Are there any fit or function issues from other members' experience? Thanks in advance for any information/advice.

Brownells and many others as well sell them but quite often they are out of stock so you may have to shop around a wee bit to get a few.

I believe there were a number of new and used ones in the classified section in the last few weeks. Maybe some still there?

Thank you all! I see they are pretty easy to find and don't have a problem with the 25-30 bucks, as long as they work well.

I have a 41 about the same age as yours and only had one magazine. I have since bought 5 new ones and they all feed ammo fine, the only issue I have had with the new ones is that some of them don't drop out all the way when you push the mag release button.

CDNN had them on Special for $24.99.......now $26.99, Midway at 25.99, both in Stock!
I bought 3 from Midway, when they were on backorder, and it took a month to get them......I tried them out, and they all dropped free......I still have to go to the range and try the function out, but been too busy....

I traded with a member here for his NIW 52 and 41 mags so the quantity mentioned in the classifieds may be mine now, as the rest are arriving tomorrow and find the quality was second to none.
P.S. I am selling a number of S&W 41 and 52 NIW mags that I do not need for my own use. If anyone cannot find them, feel free to email and ask. Robert

And just as a reminder, millerj, as others have pointed out here on the Forum previously: those 10-round mags can be converted to 12-rounders by disassembling the mag and removing the block to allow the additional two rounds to be loaded.
