Checked my records, the Duty M645 was transfered to me on 1/07/89. My understanding is that Dept Armorers could choose any product to purchase at a serious discount... which they got to practice on with access to S&W parts bin. I just don't know exactly when George G. attended the Armorer's school... SN# TAN93XX

You would certainly never have to worry about not having enough gun with that 645 on your hip. Nice rig. Great pistol.

I carried one for awhile on duty in South Florida in the early 90's. I still have mine but it is a safe queen now.

Nice looking pistols. The PR-24 is what I was issued when I was a Deputy Sheriff,I hurt myself a few times when learning how to use it.

Ditto the PR-24. This is an early 2 piece one.
Partner & I standing a post outside a beach front bar at closing time... that 645 practically glowed in the dark.

Mine too was a duty gun in South Florida back in the day. Broward County Florida. Ft. Lauderdale. Maybe they were brothers? GARY
