Default New Model 41 owner (well, in 10 more days)

Just traded a Walther PPQ M2 9mm 5" for this beauty:

It's a TAH serial number so I believe that makes it an '85.

Can't wait to get it out of jail and out to the range!
It has a Leopold 2x scope on it that I don't think will work for me so I'll be shopping for a red dot of some kind.

Have really been learning a lot from y'all so thanks for that!

The Model 41 is a great gun. Have two kicking around, but can't shoot them anymore

Now comes the hard part: keeping it fed.

You should be arrested for grandchild larceny. Hope you enjoy it. I'm anxious to hear how it shoots.

Hi guys,
picked it up today and took it apart to clean and get to know it.
Looks to have been shot very little.
Pretty dirty though.
Polished the feed ramp because it had some nicks in it (how do ou get nicks in your feed ramp?)

The trigger feels fantastic (and I've got some guns with REALLY good triggers) .

I'm waiting for my Brownell's order for a weaver scope base so I can install the Truglo Tru-brite red dot (yeah, I know, it'a cheap *** red dot but I gotta be frugal sometimes).

One thing that is kind of unsettling for the the OCD tendency I apparently have is the slide feels that it is offset from the barrel. You can feel that the gap between the side of the slide and side of the barrel is different on one side vs. the other.
Here's an attempt at a pic to show what I mean:
