OMG yes!
While it may not qualify as rare, it certainly isn't commonly seen.
I would snatch it up.

Definitely buy if the price is anywhere fair! I picked one up a while back at a ridiculously low price and love it. My information is that they were only made for about one year and the run was only 726 - that is rare in my book.
I absolutely love the gun, not to big and not too small. But the best thing is no annoying slide mounted safety/decocker. The only downside to the frame mounted decocker models is I understand it is nearly impossible to reassemble if you completely disassemble the frame - ie. to change a broken trigger play spring.

I think $580 is a bit high, the the extra mags help. Try negotiating him down a bit.

I would try to buy it for around 525 if possible. I would not walk away without it. Very nice pistol.

The 4526 & 4536 are rare enough, good decision, don't let it get away you won't regret it.

This model has a recall in effect from 91. If it was inspected or modified you'll see two dimple punches just under the frame decocker lever. If not you can contact factory and they will send you a call tag and mod it for free. great shooting pistol, well worth the price.

Wrong.. It is actually quite simple.
My 1076 is my proof.

Good to know its possible - I would love to hear any helpful hints as to any differences in reassembly as several posts here in the forum warn about its difficulty.

Start by inserting a pin as you pull the side plate(keeps everything in place ) so you can see how the pawl installed before you unload all the parts.
When reassembling I loaded the pawl first then the hammer and firing pin lever. Slide your assembly pin( I use the grip pin) in from the right to keep things in place. The ejector/mag disco lever goes in last ( slide your pin back just enough to get it in there)and keeps the pawl right where it needs to be.
I hold the sear in place and start installing the plate and both pins. A little wiggle here and there to get the hammer and sear pin lined up and it slips back together.
Lift the plate back up just enough to install the decocker lever(can only fit to the pawl one way) Push plate back down install retainer ring. Done.

Hogues not available for 4536
I just got off the phone with Hogue.
They told me grips for the 4536 aren't available -- only the grip sleeve.
That did not make my day...
