645/4506 magazine. Have you seen this?
I am pretty well versed on S&W magazine variants, but I don't remember this one. It has a steel base plate like a 645, but has mag catch slots on both sides, which my original 645 mags do not. Obviously it also has the orange follower, where the 645 had steel. The body does not indicate a colored follower. Lastly, a rubber base pad. Of course this could just be a mix up of parts, did they ever come this way? When was the orange follower used?
thanks, fuzzy

Early 4506 magazines had the glued on pads and orange follower. They were this way in 1989 and maybe some into 1990.

Thanks for all the input. I had ideas, but no facts, until now. As a side note, I think they must have produced a lot of mags during the yellow follower period. Many years ago I purchased a bunch of used ones in .45 and in 10mm. This was from different vendors.
