S&W 669
I'm looking at a S&W 669 to buy. It is missing the R/S safety lever. It still functions all right. Has the typical carry look to it. I got the LGS down to $330.00 out the door. I see Midway has the lever and screw.
Any thoughts.

IMO, it's too much for a 669. They made a heap of those. Alloy frame compact. Quality for carry use... not going to be a favorite for fun shooting on a recreational range day.
I don't think it is a horrible price, but also not a steal or must buy. No offense to anyone who loves the 669.

I've been carrying a 669 for 20 years. Bought it new. The thing about this gun is that it has NEVER malfunctioned(except when I slammed my thumb in the ejector port cleaning it!. I have run 5 different types of ammo through it in the same clip. NEVER malfunctions. THAT is worth any price. Mike.
