S&W 39-02
Was any of you guys watching that Nickel 39-2 on Gun Broker? Well, I won it. I don't know how to post pics, but when I get it I can send pics on cell. Low tech.

Congrats!
Congratulations! You won a very good pistol. If it's anything like mine you will enjoy many years of sweet shooting. I feel that the 39-2 is one of Smith & Wesson's best works, feels great in the hand, usually feeds any and all ammo, and is accurate as well!

Thanks, I've always liked Smiths. Trying to rebuild my collection. Tired of tupperware.

Sounds nice. Hope to see it soon. Only recall seeing a couple at LGS and that was many years back. Easy to take those Third Gen guns for granted back then but now highly coveted by all.

Well keep on hoping till I figure out how to get this chrome book to post pics. I can send them on my cell, that's about the limit to my interweb knowledge. I gave the GB winner auction listing # to another member on this site. I'll ask him if he could post the pics for me. I know "no pics not real". But I'd rather buy Smiths than computer stuff.

I have a nickel 39-2 that I have had for years, that I would like to start shooting again. The double action is quite heavy and the single action could use some love. I am looking for either a pistol smith or a good video or instructions on detailed take down and reassembly. I did buy some springs from Wolff, but I hesitate to tackle the job without more info.
Hope you enjoy your new pistol.
Thanks to all , in advance.

Great gun. I wanted a 39-2 but only in nickle. I saw one advertised locally about four years ago with box, papers, and original grips. It was $450 and I took a big chance and waited one day, then offered $425 and got it. I was visualizing sambar stags on it but these Grashorn elk bone did the trick. This gun was originally sold in Alaska.

Congratulations to you sir! I think you go a great deal. That gun would be on my list to replace too.
