If you are lucky, a shooter with light normal wear, maybe 450-500.
Ive seen nice like new, round trigger guard and non winged sight pistols for as much as 650.
These stainless frame and slide 639 were long awaited. Beautiful gun.
People dont seem to mind the extra weight over the aluminum frame guns.
If I stumbled on a nice one for under 600 I would buy it if the timing was right.

It definitely seems like the fixed sight 639 pistols are more difficult to find than the adjustable sight models with the big protective ears. And as said above, the rounded trigger guard like the pictured pistol is an early model 639, and those are also in shorter supply than the later guns with the hooked/finger rest trigger guard.
I would say that in my area, if you find one with a tagged price even a penny under $500, it's going to have some external wear and scratches present. To find a really fine example with very little or no wear is going to go north of $600. Original box with end label, tools, manual, etc? I think you're pushing toward $700 and beyond.
They just didn't make the 2nd Gens as long as either the 1st Gens or the 3rd Gens, and finding them in fantastic shape is getting to be tricky.
I will say this--
Finding nearly new/mint examples of these does happen on Gunbroker, they aren't as "rare" as some pistols that we chase. But every time I do see them in new/mint shape, the prices appear to be more of a "only if you REALLY gotta have it" kind of price. High price and usually does not sell. Gets relisted some time later.

I lent one of my co workers $400 and got this one as collateral. He promptly disappeared for two weeks and I fired him so I guess it's mine. Not pristine by any means, it has character. Some Mother's Mag Wheel Polish took care of many of the scuffs. I was kind of bummed about it at first then I went and shot it. I'm in love with it now. Got a full box of Gold Dots with it too. Said he'd had it since the 80s, I don't think he ever cleaned it. I worked on it for well over an hour and it functions perfectly.
