But Smith's website only lists the model 41 when I search for 22lr handguns.
They're out there, at a reasonable price too. This one is the steel frame variant, 22s -1. It has a seven inch barrel, and I added the red dot. It's a very sweet shooter, and now my wife wants one too. Keep your eyes open, they're out there.
A friend sent his 22A in for a frame crack under warranty. They returned a .22 Compact, explaining that they did not have frames to exchange. So be wary of parts availability.
