Default Question for the Hogue Grip Users

Do the Hogue grips raise your POA compared to the standard straight back factory grips?

I'm forced to carry a Glock 22 on duty and usually carry my personal G19 off duty. I'd like to add the 4013 to the rotation, but find the grip angle makes the gun point low for me. I find this also translates to low hit when shooting rapid and dynamic courses of fire.

I'm considering giving the rubber Hogues a try since I think they'll fill my hand a little better and it looks like they have a palm swell that may help raise my natural POA. Any of you guys have any experience in the matter?

The Hogues will help pick up the front end compared to the compact straight grips and I find them much more comfortable on a single-stack,......too wide on double-stacks. I think they'd be worth a try, but if you're happy with a Glock grip the Hogues might not be enough. I think Glock shooters need to have their wrists broken and reset in order to be comfortable with anything else. Glocks point as high for me as my 4053 does low.

Thanks for the info. That confirms what I suspect from looking at pictures.

Yep, Glocks are certainly a beast of their own. I was forced into them when I came to my current department. Not bad guns, I just find them totally uninteresting.

I did not notice a big elevation change, but I normally used the arched backstrap. It did make a big difference in windage, since it felt like the grip was a better width and not as blocky for me.
